How it works
We are a matchmaker. We find out whether your records are likely to interest a buyer, then introduce you to the buyers who fit. You stay in control at every step, and you can stop at any point.
-
Free valuation
You answer questions about your industry, full-time staff, headquarters, systems, years of records, language and who owns client work. You see an indicative range at once. Nothing is connected, exported or uploaded.
-
A 20-minute call
Our Partnerships team goes over the details that move the price most: which systems hold your records, how far back they go, and your answer on who owns client work. We don’t advise on whether you have the right to license any records; the buyer and your own lawyer assess that. If buyers are unlikely to be interested, we say so on the call.
-
Mutual NDA
Before we describe your company to anyone, we sign a mutual NDA. Buyers we introduce you to sign their own NDA with you.
-
Buyer match
We write a short profile of your records (industry, systems, volumes, years, languages) with no data in it and share it with buyers who fit. Interested buyers review it and make their own offer or decline. We introduce only companies that agreed to it in the valuation form. Before each introduction we tell you which buyer it is, and we introduce you only with your OK to that specific buyer.
-
Contract
You sign directly with the buyer, on terms you and your lawyer agree. The buyer sets price, payment schedule, exclusivity and the scope of what is licensed. You can say no to any offer.
-
Export and de-identification depends on the buyer
Only after a signed contract, and only for the scope agreed. Personal data, credentials, HR records and client material outside the agreed scope are removed first, under the rules on our data-handling page. In this phase we never hold your data: export and scrubbing are done by you or the buyer under the contract.
Who buys
Two kinds of organisation buy company records:
- AI labsThe companies training large models, usually through intermediaries.
- Training-data vendors and RL-environment buildersFirms that turn real work records into simulated workplaces and sell them to labs. Several run public data-partnership programmes with published price tiers.
We do not have a partnership with any buyer and don’t claim one. We introduce you to established buyers that publicly say they license company data.
We don’t take on medical, dental or healthcare companies, insurance, staffing agencies, title and escrow, or law firms. Why
How payment works
The buyer sets the terms. Published examples include flat fees per company, licences with tiers, and higher prices for exclusivity. RL-environment builders charge labs about $20k to $300k per environment, which is why realistic records have value to them.
Our fee: If a buyer licenses your records, Quiet Asset may receive a referral fee from that buyer. It is paid by the buyer, not deducted from your offer, and you never pay us. TODO(owner): confirm the fee model and the written disclosure with a lawyer before launch. You will always know what we are paid and by whom before you sign anything.
Not every company gets an offer. One code marketplace reports that only a low single-digit share of listed codebases find a buyer (the marketplace’s own page, read 2026-10-17). Offers are never guaranteed, and we never promise one.
